Searching for Tuesday...Whomever
Monday Knight has been hot on the trail of finding the next woman who shared her malady--that of being named
for the day of the month she was born.
She thought she had hit paydirt when she found Tuesday Weld, the actress,
but then she discovered that was a "stage name," so she knew she had to keep looking.
Finally, she found a reference in a newspaper article about a woman named Tuesday Nolan. She lived just a few miles from
Charleston, SC, and she ran a finishing school. Yes! The poor woman had to be a victim of "Tuesday's child is full of grace"
syndrome!
After calling the newspaper and convincing that nice young man to give her Tuesday's e-mail address, she sent this message:
Dear Ms. Nolan,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Monday Knight. I have the same plight in life as you, I believe. I was
perhaps blessed, perhaps cursed, with being named for the day of the week on which I was born. In addition, I was raised with
the idea that the only thing I had going for me was the fact that I had a beautiful face. That led to my career as a model.
Then good fortune struck. I was injured in an automobile accident and my face was ruined beyond recognition. Thanks to
an incredible plastic surgeon, I have been "resurrected." My new life is one of incredible adventure every single morning
when I awaken. In case you have not read it, please check on the book about my experiences, named—surprisingly—Monday
Knight.
I am trying to locate other women who have the malady of being named for the day of the week on which they were born. I
feel that we would have a wonderful bond that no one else could share. You are my first "discovery." If you are interested,
please e-mail me at mondayknight@yahoo.com . I look forward to your soon reply.
Weekly yours,
Monday Knight
